UWLA Marketing Working Group, September 2025

Help shape the future of our industry-led labelling scheme.

Why this matters

The Unified Water Label (UWLA) was established to proactively avoid the introduction of a mandatory water label by creating a scheme designed by the industry, for the industry.

However, recent government direction now points toward a mandatory water labelling scheme, citing a lack of public awareness of our current label. Only 9.7% of members show visibility of the UWLA’s digital or printed tools — a figure echoed by UK water companies.

Despite this, the UWLA continues to gain recognition, most recently in the EU Commission’s Water Resilience Strategy. The time to act is now.

Your role

We’re launching a new Marketing Working Group to create a strategic approach that boosts visibility across Europe. We’re looking for marketing professionals from UWLA member brands to:

  • Define clear, practical objectives to enhance awareness
  • Share insights and proven tactics from your brand’s marketing experience
  • Collaborate on campaigns that increase the reach and impact of the UWLA

Next Steps

The first session will take place in September 2025, allowing for summer breaks.
