REGISTER NOW FOR THE UWLA WATER MATTERS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

Registration is now open for the European virtual conference, Water Matters, hosted by The Unified Water Label Association. The conference will explore how the bathroom industry can work together to better inform customers about using water efficiently. The event takes place on Tuesday 13 April at 1pm BST (2pm CEST), and will be free to access.

The event includes a panel discussion with representatives from four different companies operating in Europe and two industry speakers from global home furnishing brand IKEA and German DIY retailer Globus. The panel will discuss how they are communicating the Unified Water Label in their sectors, what tools or channels work best, and how they are using innovation to help them meet their environmental objectives.

UWLA MD Yvonne Orgill said, “The time is right to bring together different sectors of our industry to discuss how they are communicating the benefits of using innovative water efficient products, for the benefit of the planet. There is a renewed awareness amongst governments and consumers that climate change should be taken seriously, and with the Unified Water Label gaining ground across Europe, there is much to be gained from sharing experiences.

“We are excited to bring this event on-line, offering the opportunity for more people to join us, encouraging everyone to do a little so that together we can achieve a lot.”

Impact Entrepreneur Ben Keene will be guest speaker. Ben cofounded Tribewanted, an eco-friendly sustainable community in Fiji, and has spent 20 years exploring how to make a positive impact through building start-ups, communities and adventures around the world.

Ben said, “Water is life! Helping people understand the impact of their water consumption and nudge them towards positive behaviour change is an exciting challenge. I look forward to sharing some stories at the Water Matters event that I hope will accelerate your impact.”

Carlos Velazquez, newly elected president of UWLA, will also present on update on the progress of the Unified Water Label across Europe.  He said, “This will be an important conference for anyone that wants to learn more about how to communicate with customers on water efficiency and environmental issues. We have brought together an outstanding line-up of speakers to share their strategies, and the commercial benefits that come from supporting and promoting the Unified Water Label.”
