WATER IS A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT FOR EVERYONE

Water is in the news at the moment as the debate around child poverty gathers pace on social media. There are many valid points being raised to raise awareness about child poverty but here in the UK, no family will ever have their water supply taken away because they cannot pay the bill.

Sadly this is not the case for other children around the world, water scarcity means that many children across the globe do not have access to clean water.

Statistics from the WHO and Unicef suggest that nearly 900 million children worldwide lack a basic hygiene service at their school, and that  2 out of 5 people, or 3 billion people around the world lack basic handwashing facilities at home.

We all have a responsibility to use water wisely in order to preserve this precious limited resource and to help ensure that there is access to water of all.

The Unified Water Label (UWL) is a smart tool for innovative and technologically advanced bathroom products, which deliver the bathing experience that consumers expect whilst offering opportunities to use water more wisely.

You can make a difference and play your part in using water more wisely – visit  the directory of products here to find those bathroom products that support the label.
